Are You Working With People Who Don’t Get It?

“Life is too short to waste it with people who don’t get it.”  Whatever “it” is for you, make sure you surround yourself with people who have it.” In most work environments you have people who really get “it” and some who don’t. You may even try to avoid projects that include them. You try to even work around them because it is easier to do it yourself than to take the time to include them.

So what is “it” that they don’t get?  Most winners have “it” but losers don’t…

I believe fear of failure is the greatest reason many people never get to enjoy the results of being a winner. They are not willing to change, risk or strive for something better. It is just easier to settle for the place you are in now. after all, it’s comfortable and we are good so why rock the boat.

A Loser makes promises.

Winners have dreams;
Loser have schemes.

Winners say,” I must do something”;
Losers say,”Something must be done.”

Winners are a part of the team;
Losers are apart from the team.

Winners see the gain;
Losers see the pain.

Winners see possibilities;
Losers see problems.

Winners believe in win/win;
Losers believe for them to win someone has to lose.

Winners see the potential;
Losers see the past.

Winners are like a thermostat;
Losers are like thermometers.

Winners choose what they say;
Losers say what they choose.

Winners use hard arguments but soft words;
Losers use soft arguments but hard words.

Winners stand firm on values but compromise on petty things;
Losers stand firm on petty things but compromise on values.

Winners follow the philosophy of empathy: “Don’t do to others what you would not want them to do to you”;
Losers follow the philosophy, “Do it to others before they do it to you.”

I don’t care to be remembered as the man who scored six touchdowns in a game. I want to be remembered as a winner in life. ~Gale Sayers
